The two graphics below compare Pre-Season Hurricane Predictions by Organization.

 

The first Graphic shows predictions by organization for the 2017 Season.  Notice that "Only Global Weather Oscillations issues Landfall Predictions".

GWO once again released the best preseason predictions by any organization.  All other organizations called for an average or normal season - but it ended up strong and costly just as GWO predicted.

 

Years with 6 Major Hurricanes occur in cycles - with this happening on 9 years during the past 90 years.

 

Previously Years we reached 6 Major Hurricanes in a season

1926, 1933, 1950, 1961 and 1964, 1996,  2004 and 2005, 2017.

 

The second graphic shows the track record for all organizations the past 9-years. 

A check mark indicates a correct prediction, an X indicates incorrect.
